Growth and Coalescence of ?’-Precipitates in Nickel-Based Alloy 115NC during Slow Cooling for Membrane Manufacturing

By coarsening of the ?’-precipitates and selective extraction one two existing phases, porous structures can be produced from nickel-based superalloys. There are basic approaches to achieve a bicontinuous ?/?’-microstructure—directional incoherent coarsening. Single crystalline superalloy membranes by so-called rafting microstructure, i.e., directional Unlike this process, incoherently coarsened lack detailed understanding mechanisms leading cross-linking precipitates. In paper, growth coalescence precipitates during initial slow cooling above ?’ solvus temperature was studied. addition three-dimensional morphological changes precipitates, it is also shown that only little particles occurs despite high content and, therefore, their very small distance. The loss coherency part must first advance through further aging before microstructure formed.
